CoolSculpting Elite: Offering Solutions for Stubborn Fat

It can be disappointing and frustrating to follow an exercise regimen and eat correctly and still have pockets of fat you can’t get rid of. It’s also a very common occurrence, especially in areas like the abdomen and hips.

There are surgical procedures that can remove excess fat, but if you don’t want an invasive treatment, you can turn to CoolSculpting Elite.

At Radiant Reflections Weight Loss Clinic & Medspa, we offer CoolSculpting Elite to help you tackle those stubborn fat pockets. Read on to learn more about this innovative treatment option.

What Is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses cold temperatures to destroy fat cells so that you can eliminate them.

Fat cells are more susceptible to cold temperatures than other cells, so the procedure, which uses applicators to cool the treatment areas, affects only fat cells. Once these cells die, your body can safely and naturally eliminate them through your lymphatic system.

Some of the most common treatment areas include:

  • Abdomen
  • Thighs
  • Lower back
  • Love handles
  • Buttocks
  • Arms
  • Chin

CoolSculpting Elite is the most advanced CoolSculpting option available. CoolSculpting Elite has a range of applicators to choose from and a C-cup design that works with your body’s natural curves. It offers a better fit and higher comfort level.

CoolSculpting Elite also provides better tissue coverage and contact. Best of all, it allows us to use two applicators at once, shortening treatment time.

It is important to understand that CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. It is an option that offers body contouring and is best suited for people who are close to their ideal weight but find it difficult to get rid of fat pockets in certain areas.

The CoolSculpting procedure is perfect for people who are in good health and don’t want to undergo surgical procedures.

It is not a good treatment option for people who have severe skin laxity, have sensitivities to cold temperatures, are pregnant or nursing, have rashes or lesions in the treatment areas, have varicose veins in the treatment areas, or have unrealistic expectations.

What Benefits Does CoolSculpting Offer?

CoolSculpting and CoolSculpting Elite are non-invasive procedures that do not require a long recovery time. This is essential for people who do not have time for a surgical procedure or can’t undergo general anesthesia.

It is also a procedure that offers natural results. Because CoolSculpting uses your body’s lymphatic system to eliminate the destroyed fat cells, you get the kind of gradual results you would get with an exercise or diet routine.

CoolSculpting Elite is even more effective, offering 18% more surface coverage. With all of its applicators, it allows us to help you target even the hardest-to-reach areas.

Preparing for the CoolSculpting Procedure

We ask that you schedule a consultation with us if you think CoolSculpting would be a good choice for you.

During this consultation, we will examine the potential treatment area and get your full medical history. Tell us about any supplements and medications you take and let us know about any other cosmetic procedures you have undergone in the past. This is also your opportunity to ask us all about the CoolSculpting procedure and what to expect.

We recommend that you stop taking medications that thin your blood, like aspirin and ibuprofen, as well as supplements that serve the same purpose, like fish oil and St. John’s Wort before your procedure. Remember to consult your GP before stopping any medications.

You also want to avoid damaging the skin in the treatment area. Since the procedure involves suctioning and massage, you don’t want to have cuts or bruises. You should avoid tanning, as well, because that can make your skin more sensitive.

You may also want to stop drinking alcohol for a week before the procedure.

The CoolSculpting Procedure and Recovery

You should wear comfortable, loose clothing to your CoolSculpting appointment. Remember to wear underwear too. Since we have to apply a special gel to your skin for the procedure, you may want to wear something you can wash easily.

We also recommend that you eat a light meal or snack before your appointment.

We will begin by applying gel pads to the treatment area and then use the applicators to freeze your fat cells. We will then massage the area to help break up the fat cells even more.

Depending on the number and size of treatment areas, the procedure can take 30 to 60 minutes.

After your CoolSculpting procedure, you should avoid extreme heat. Do not use hot tubs or saunas, and do not get a lot of sun exposure. For 24 hours after the treatment, you also want to avoid strenuous exercise.

You may want to avoid blood-thinning medications for a few more days. Make sure to drink lots of water since that can help your body eliminate fat cells.

Some people start noticing results after a month, while others do so after seven or eight weeks. Once your body gets rid of the fat cells, you don’t have to worry about new fat cells taking their place unless you gain weight.
